Abstract We explore the potentials of participative co-financing as a means for regional banks to integrate an innovative financing technique that enhances their strengths. Our goal is interest platform operators, decision-makers banks, and researchers in co-financing. define capital provision, where professional sources provide one part, other supplied via crowdfunding. claim crowdfunding are compatible by common interests. emanating at intersection both fields drawing on entrepreneurship finance literature. Eventually, we bridge gap between research. To guide our research, develop framework featuring banks. ask: Which affect intentions offer co-financing? The technology acceptance model (TAM) provides theoretical foundation analysis. conduct twofold analysis looking direct effects first according TAM second. Thereby consider intention lending- equity-based surveyed from association German savings derived 108 answers. show generally accept technique. most likely lending-based co-financing, with individual persons, startups, SMEs target groups. Decision-makers hope profit cross-selling being perceived innovative. Nevertheless, further research trials necessary advance
